When I got together with Clive, now my fiance, he took this little city girl to Kruger for two weeks. He was not sure how I would respond to this bush, heat and wilderness...We arrived there 12h00 on a hot (42degree) summer afternoon... Well now, I thought I was going to melt, phew it was HOT!!
Most people nap at this time as we all know that dusk and dawn is the 'best' time for game viewing.
I saw the big five in my first three hours.. I am hooked.. Its not even just the animals but the different topography, silence, dirt roads, bird songs... wow..Kruger is a paradise.

This was my first LION.. oh gosh.. was I excited. Squealing with excitement we watched him cross the road in front of us in search of water... Look at that belly..
Oh, it was so dry there that year it was worrisome. Not a green thing in sight..
